Good behaviour and discipline is essential to ensure the smooth running of the party bus.
Adults working within the setting should be aware of their role in promoting acceptable behaviour.
They will:
- Act as a good role model.
- Provide a social environment with stimulating activities.
- Understand age/stage appropriate behaviour.
- Be positive, constructive and fair.
- Try to differentiate between deliberate and accidental occurrences.
- Always respect confidentiality.
- Children will not be smacked, shouted at, intimidated, threatened, isolated or made to feel unwanted. (Children Act 1989)
- A carer will not use any form of physical intervention, i.e. holding, unless it is necessary to prevent personal injury to the child, other children, or adult.
- All incidents will be recorded and parents informed.
